Default How many interested in studio photography?

Hi all,
I am wondering how many are interested in studio photography?
As my 'contribution' towards our Pentax gang's outing, I was thinking of bringing out my Bowen monoblocs so that all of us can have a studio photography session.
This is what I have:
Bowen Esprits 250 x 2
Silver brolly x 1
White/trans brolly x 1
Hairlight snoot x 1
Lighting stand x 2
Silver/white reflector x 1

My background setup is not portable so I cant provide that.

What we need is for someone to provide a nice indoor location and a model or 2 as our subject. No pro models. Just someone pleasant looking so we can have some practise on protraiture.

of course, and ops forgot to mention the flash meter.

Sekonic 518 Digi-Pro

Old but it is very accurate (Best in its class at the time when I bought it).
But then again in this digital/LCD screen preview world, seem like that is not so important anymore (accuracy I mean).

I dont think we should pay anyone. It has to be a mutual thing. We learn something, she learn and get something.
Many years ago, I joined this studio for shooting. We had to pay the studio and after the shoot, the models would ask for the photos to beef up their portfolio. Being gentlemen, we cant refuse right?
So in short, we pay money to 'work' for the the studio and their newbies models. Never really make sense to me.
So I ended up shooting friends instead. They may not be as pretty or glamorous, but its nice and friendly, and more challenging too.

Location u all can do what I do, use condo's function room. Some fancy condos have game room with billiards or pool table, which will be great for practise shots and u wun need backdrop.

Models just ask some friends who are interested to go for some studio shots, dun need XMM if purely for practise. If dun have then ask someone's wife or children.

If no model then we model for each other lah....heee...

If we can all make ourselves look like model then we can say we have done well.

lol Like I said for practise no need XMM. To most photographers for studio shots, the LAP/LAM should be the ones paying (Just kidding) Anyway I preactise on dogs which is just as fun^^
