Default The (Wo)Man in the Distance

Used manual focus to completely blur out everything. Got my friend to stand in the distance against the light to create a silouette.

Critiques and comments welcomed.

I will like it very much if you say this is your impression of "Alien" in the distance. Kind of abstract to me.

Sorry! I can't help it. Please don't take it too hard.

the concept is there, so thumbsup for that

but his 'chopped head' doesn't really appeal to me

and imho, perhaps you could have put yr friend into focus a tad more. That would have made his silloutette sharper/more defined. This would have also sharpened the edges of the wall in the foreground which would have helped in framing the subject. I think ozkid88 mentioned that.

good try and hope to see your 2nd attempt

Well it's a concept.

Well, not my cup of tea. Don't find anything I like about it.

A square crop and pump the saturation to some crazy level. Have a series of it. I think will be pretty cool.

Nice abstract but the OOF should be less strong. Can hardly make out that it's a person.
