Talking Favourite lens in ur lens collection?

    Hi!

Not sure if this has been asked before, just wondering if everyone has his/her own particular favourite lens from your own collection and if so, why? (P.S Not restricted to any one make or brand of lens, can be zoom, prime etc. Just name one!)

I'll start the ball rolling: my current favourite lens is the EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM. Probably the sharpest lens in my collection, fairly lightweight and compact and capable of churning out incredibly detailed shots. Pricey yes, but I'm slowly learning how to use it to maximise its potential and beginning to see its awesome results. Of course its not without its faults (in AF mode it searches like a blind man wandering around in the dark, rather slow as well). But I love it because of the great results one can get from it.

So what is your favourite lens?

    On the 10D is 35mm f/2.0 (equivalent to 50mm), while on EOS 30 is 50mm f/1.8...

But I thought you always say your EF 50mm f/1.8 Mk II focusing(AF) is slow?? Plus you didn't look like you like the lense that much for it to be your favourite. Plus Plus you were complaining so many times to me that the AF is too slow..........

Not all the time ... some HSM lens are slower than the Canon Micro motor ... probably due to algorithm ...

Ah... garion.. i see you are enjoying your new toy!
No fav lens for me at the moment. The only one I have is fixed on my cam. No choice.

But if I do, it should be a potrait lens. Say a 50mm?
