    Default Let's play

Let's play some basketball. Does this picture convey the sport of basketball to the viewer ? It's what I'm trying to capture here from a different perspective. Thanks

Vignetting + CrossProcess effect done on Photoscape.

Please do a check on Critique Corner guidelines. A short write up on the photo, why you shot it, and what you are seeking critique on is required, along with your photo.

1st of all, the vignetting is too harsh, too much, and the colours abit too saturated.
converting the pic into b/w without vignetting is a better choice for me.

I chose heavy vignetting in the corners for that more focused look on the ball and people playing in the background. Maybe it was a little too heavy huh ? Thanks for the comment

Yup, I think it's too heavy, so much so that attention goes past the ball, if you know what I mean. Vignetting should bring attention to centralised subjects (see example below).

If your subject is not heavily centralised, then vignetting, albeit heavy vignetting, is a distraction, not an enhancement.

With the heavy vignette which makes the pic very dark and groomy, coupled with the fact that the boys are already playing basket ball, with another basket ball.....this ball is like been abandon and very lonely.

This is my feel from the pic.
