Default V3 or A70 better?

wanting to change to A70 cause my V3 got serious focusing problem.is it a wise choice as i'm in 2 minds about it.
can any one state the pro and con between this two cams?
etc...
1)A70 use AA batt which i think V3 would be better.
2)A70 have more manual controls which would satisfy me more esp the 1/2000 shutter as i tend to get blur pics from V3 w/o flash and high iso increase noise.
3)A70 colour come out more brighter and sharper.
i am very impress with alot of A70 gallery that i have came across so would like advise on this.thanks.

Isn't using AA batteries make that a plus point for A70? Considering that good NiMH AA batteries are much cheaper than a lithium-ion rechargeable.

1) beg to differ, AA rechargeables last so darn long on the A70, once I used one set of batts for the entire week with intermittent shooting everyday, and lots of reviewing on the LCD. The lithium ion battery on the V3, though more compact, has a much shorter lifespan.

2) you will be disappointed with the A70 cos in low-light without flash, you still have to increase ISO to prevent blur shots. It's not a camera characteristic, it is the way it is. The 1/2000s shutter speed of the A70 will not come in useful too if light level is just too low for high shutter speed. Most of the time, if u need to freeze motion or camera shake, 1/1000s is the most you'll need. I'm sure v3 can give u that.

3) Not too sure about this.

I just got my A70 last saturday from CP for $510. Easy to used have all SLR feature, focus lock better than G3 (my view). Light, small, good grip like SLR, At ISO200 can see noise, Sharp images,
Flash reasonable.

i had seen your gallery, looks fine to me, btw, original photo taken with canon digicams usually look soft, usually you need to sharpen.

if you cant bear with the canon image quality, changing to A70 will not solve your problems, you might as well look at other brands, like sony or olympus

1)four AA Sanyo 2100 on A70 can last me 400-500 shots with LCD on, i would say the performance is very very impressive

2)if you like to do low light photography without flash, you need to get some cameras with bright lens and low noise, maybe G5 or Sony F717. however, canon digicams do not focus so well as sony

3)A70 AE is alot brighter than my previous cam S30, however some do not like this as the pic may look washout, IMHO, it is down to personal preferences, you can always set the +- AE yourself
