Default Waht Ways to Up recycling time for Ex-Flash?

Anyone could provide input on how to Up recycling time for Ex-Flash.

1. Use the minimum output/but diffuse flash with area of focus.
2. Increase batteries contact areas.
3. External Power Pack-- too expensive/rare hard to find cheap.

Thanks

With the SB3000 on eneloops it did a recharge after a 1/1 discharge in about 9 seconds (est.), but with some older sanyo 2700mah (which are giving problems, showing battery depleted on my k100d) it takes almost 20 seconds!!

I might trade in for the Imedion or get Camelion to replace those lousy batteries. Point is, the type of battery you use affects, I think it's got to do with the voltage? Lithium AAs I presume would be faster if this was the case right?
