NDP Flypass Rehearsals

Was driving in front of City Hall yesterday around lunchtime. Saw the Chinook escorted by 2 Apache. Also say a glimpse of the Black Knights as well.

I am keen in shooting the Black Knights again. Didn't get enough of them during the Airshow.

Anyone got info on the next rehearsals. I know for sure there will be a full rehearsal on 2aug.

bro, i think they will be flying more often than that but practicing of their stunts won't be in public's eye i think. always see them flying pass around lim chu kang area.

too bad my friend already outta the airforce =\ he told me the timing last yrs.

No la, it's just a notice of closure of airspace, so everyone who is intending to fly ought to know. This kind of documents not considered to be classified

For those plane-chasers, it will be a good opportunity. Or else can go Changi Airport
But sadly, the weather these few days are not good. It is hazy and clouds are too low and too thick.
I reckon MacRitchie will be a good place despite the trees, because helicopters are much lower. Then again, you have to bet which holding area they will be at.

Wonder where would be a good location to shoot. In front of the Esplanade theatres should be good, but the planes might be backlit in the evening sun.

No prob man That document can be found on a public part of the CAAS website so it's not very sensitive. The main purpose is actually for airlines to take note of the airspace closure and retime their flights accordingly.

For the first rehearsal I went to Esplanade to spot the aircraft. The view is good there as the floating platform is right next to it.

saw the chinnok and 2x ah64 but didn't have my cam with me. they were flying formation so slowly.

just saw the flypass rehearsal!! Wonderful display by the Black Knights. 1st time seeing it mann... (Didn't went for the Air Show earlier this year la..)

You're most welcomed to bring you cam to shoot. The display schedule is given already.

I will shoot at least 2 sessions.
