Default interesting film project for videographers! about skating.

so i'm an aggressive inline skater, been skating for about three and a half years now. i want to skate a few spots around singapore, and any videographers who are interested and willing to try something new are welcome to join me. this project is for your own interest, no pay, but this is a chance to test/hone your skills

examples of what i'm talking about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1NdmHNcysI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfCFs975rK8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5lO7t_A2UE

the guys in the videos are professional, my level of skating is far from theirs, but i can manage gaps (jumping flights of stairs and various lengths and heights) and grind handrails. there will be lots of opportunity for you to exercise your creativity so jump in!

How many skaters are involved?
Duration of the vid?
What will the vid used for? have permission to skate at the different locations? copyright for song used?

minimum of one, max of three or four skaters. duration will depend on how many clips we manage to get. vid might just be posted on youtube to illustrate singapore's skating scene, if it's well produced we will put it on the TVs in McD's or send it to companies to promote blading and you. Naturally your name and the skaters' will be in the credits. there's no need to apply for permission; bladers are not skateboarders, they don't damage stuff. the most police will do is screen (take down name and ic) then leave.

we're giving you full creative liberty with the edit; all we'll do is skate while you film the footage and edit the video however you like. we can of course give you tips and suggestions on how we think it should look, based on edits we've seen. ergo, if you want to take a chance with the song and use one that you don't have the copyrights for, that's your own lookout; up to you what you want to do.

www.francoshade.com held a competition to sponsor skaters recently; these are the three that won.

the last one not only got the skater, but also the videographer sponsored as well, so you can see we won't be the only ones getting something out of this!

Hey pokvin, I am keen to give this a try. Here's some stuff I have made, it's not the same style, but shows that I am passionate about video. Looking for something new so this is a great opportunity. I would do the music myself, probably a fast section first, then a slo-mo section with slower music then a fast section to end.

(Hope the link works.)

When (are where) you want to do it? Would prefer weekend daytime for me since I am working weekdays.

there can be any number of videographers/photographers, to get various angles and stuff like that.. places include wheelock place, esplanade, holland village. ill let those coming along know the exact route when we've confirmed.
