Default 2 pictures from the Karate Tournament

Went down to Cheng San CC today for the Karate Tournament. Took some pictures with a Coolpix 995. But of all the pictures taken, only a few of them turned out well. Here are some of the prelimary shots.

Comments and critiques welcomed. Total newbie here.

Er... I mean using a slightly slower shutter to get some motion blurs on the hand. That'll add some life to the pictures, not too low tho.

Er.. not sure if it's ok, but guess I'll try 1/50, 1/60. Might be wrong tho.
