Went to BG today..
Back with some shots..Increased my QC Benchmark..

Nothing much to meter actually..just used my a40 to focus on the rays and shoot..

may i know the necessary lighting conditions for the ray of light? e.g. time of day, quality of sky, etc... i cant seem to get that kinda shots....

you need strong sunlight, some clouds or canopy with holes to "ray" the sunlight, and dust or fine water droplets to reflect the rays.

basically it's a luck thing. Wait for your chance!

Well done , djchris. Actually you have master how to use your cam to take nice shots. I guess you got to upgrade ur cam to upgrade ur shot quality :P

Usually for rays of light to be visible , you need fog / smoke and sunlight . As for BG, it was caused by morning fog and strong sunlight (as mention by Tweek). [/b][/quote]

A fine example would be seeing rays from disco lights through the use of smoke machines..

Megaweb: Thanks for the comments. But I won't be using my twee hundred veeeee any time soon for macro yet..
