Hi all,
Is there any difference between a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8E? I'm new to photography, i just bought a Nikon D40 a week ago. Now I'm using the D40 with it's kit lens, and i managed to borrow a Nikkor 70-300mm f/4 G lens from a friend. I'm thinking of buying a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens to work on low light/ portrait photography, and i''ve been checking out the B&S section. Any major differences? I know that i have to manual focus with it, but i'm fine with that. From web review, i gather the Nikkor E series is older, and D series is meant to work with digital SLRs. But how will that affect me? Thanks in advance guys! |

Currently all the 50mm lens, will be manual focus for your D40.
50 mm F1.8D is not for digital, it can send back distance reading to camera only. All nikon camera can use. |
