Push process C41 Colour Negative Film?

I forgot to change the ISO setting on my camera when switching from 400 speed to 200 speed Fuji Superia film?.

(1) I've read in a few places that with the wide exposure latitude of C41 films a 1-stop push isn't really necessary. And some even suggest it is not possible to push process in C41. In any case, many suggest that I can just tweak the exposure during printing/scanning.

Does anyone have any experiences to share regarding this issue?

(2) If I can push, does anyone know any labs in SG that will do it?

I have tried push processing on normal kodak c41 films a few times, and it does help.

Checked with Fotohub at Beach Rd. They will push C41 for an additional $2 charge over their normal processing rates of $5 per roll (if no scanning or printing) or $3.50 per roll (plus scanning or printing charges).

But they also were kind and honest enough to suggest that a 1-stop underexposure could usually be recovered in scanning or printing without push-processing. I think I will just try that.

Depends on lighting conditions. If the entire roll of film was shot in -1stop in bright daylight, then there's no need to to push the film development. The printing process can rescue your pix with slight muddy tones in shadow areas.

If -1 stop in low light shooting when the original scene didn't have much highlights, then the printing process can't rescue much. The pix will look muddy. Might as well try pushing the film and see what comes out.
