mine is olyumpus uz 2100 x10 optical zoom. i only got +4 filter
is telephoto convertor 1.7x somethg like a magnifying glass lens? how much does it cost? thx : ) |

I use the UZ can shoot dragonfly's head full-frame using a +4

if still want more then stack another +2 more doesnt mean good a tele convertor is not necessary for marco using the C2100uz |

butterflies are quite big insects and most of the time a 3-5x zoom is sufficent with a +4 close up filter TC will degrade image quality also... |

The reason I used a telephoto convertor with the +4 Close up filter is so that I can take the photo of the insect at a further distance away instead of ~25cm distance limited by the +4 close up filter.

with the zoom from C-2100uz, should be able to capture quite small insects.... if not then stack +4 and +4 |

1. attach the filter 2. use normal shooting mode (not the macro mode!) 3. zoom in fully 4. bring the camera to around 20-25cm infront of the subject 5. Press shutter to achieve focus and take the pic. You could try at home using any small objects. |
