Does Nikon have a specific lens hood for this lens or I have to get a 3rd party one?
Any idea which one to buy and from where?

The rubber hood is especially good for taking pics through windows when you don't want any reflections. You can just place the lens right up against the glass! ![]()

but troublesome. screw and uncrew till the filter rim can see brassing already

there's a metal one, $35 if im not wrong.. hn-3 or something like that...

You can get a metal lens hood, model: HS 9. Can be use on all lenses with 52mm thread.

Yeah, the HS-9 comes with a spring-loaded clamp that catches on the front filter thread for quick mounting/release. Got it from Tang previously.
