The North-Eastern part of India is a melting pot of minority tribes and cultures.
The area has long been closed to outsider for its sensitive and strategic location.
Its culture is very much intact but will change
as the region opens up in recent years.



This slideshow covers some beautiful places in the Northeast region - Kaziranga National Park
- the home of the Great Indian one horned Rhinoceros; Ziro, unique Apatani culture -
especially the face tattoos and big nose plugs of the women.



In the state of Sikkim, we explore the northern distric of Lachung and Lachen.
The magnificent view of the world's third highest mountain Mt Kanchengzonga is the highlight of the visit.
