Default Need Advice Urgently

Hi guys, I am in Tokyo nw, I am using panasonic lumix DMC Fx-10 and Canon Powershot TX1. I did some shots at DisneySea, and I realised that the Panasonic video is much better, current settings is 30FPS, 640 by 480 while the Canon is VGA 30FPS 320 by 240, Even if I changed to 640 by 480. for night video, the panasonic is still better when the canon is 7.1Mp while the panasonic is jus 6MP.

I was thinking to get another videocam in tokyo, provided if you guys can advice me by tomolo cos I am taking the night flight back to sg on 30 midnight. Meaning, 30th May day i can still go buy..

I hope you guys can advice me asap, on which new model to get, except sony due to the memory stick. Was thinking of HD, but thinking SD better.

My Purpose, taking picture with as much optical zoom as possible, and gd nite video and photo quality with min light.

Anyway, if you guys need me to get something for you, jus PM me or sms me at 91018004, pls be direct, say model and parts number, price in sg, yr budget. So I can help you source.

Hope you guys can help. Thanks a million.......

you will find sony video cams better at low light situations compared to panasonic or canon but the latter have better innovative features compared to sony. further more, with sony, you are stuck with memory sticks and original batteries. pana and canon allow third party batteries (ie cheaper price).

use the proper tool for the job. you won't get good video from a still camera and you won't get a good photo from a camcorder. how about going tapeless and get those camcorders using SDHC cards?

how long do you estimate before your next upgrade can determine if you want to get SD or HD now.

iirc, canon have a very nice model call TX-1 which is a pns compact camera with built-in camcorder which can record in SD or HD using SD or SDHC cards. but the optical zoom is limited due to the size. it's like a palm corder, very small and handy.

Hv20,hv30 are nice HD camcorders. They should be far cheaper in japan.
