Default a quicky question about 50mm f/1.8

I have been using my new 50mm f/1.8 for around a year now (after an older lens broke in an accident) and its been working great... Just a couple of days back I noticed that I can't switch the AF/MF swicth to MF.. Its always set at AF and doesn't latch on MF at all... I know it does not support FTM, but does it happen on your 50mm f/1.8 too..

If not I can try getting a replacement as it is still under warranty..

thanks in advance..

Suggest that you send it back to the 'hospital' for a full body checkup since it is still under the 'medical coverage'...

Thanks guys... realised that there was nothing wrong with the lens.. The lens was a brand new one so the toggle switch was just a little too tight and wasn't moving at all.. When I took it to me dealer, he just applied a little extra pressure and it worked.. tested the lens, everything works fine... Just raised false alarm due to my stupidity..

I was probably just too concerned about handling my eqpt too delicately..

Custom Functions land me in trouble as well.. When I first started using SLR, I used to try all the CFs and then forgot that the CF is set.. Ended up even taking the camera to dealer's shop where they pointed out that it was the CF and the camera is perfectly fine.. after that I have started reading manuals..
