I know...I know...I got so bored that I decided to pop over at our rival's sub-forum (again) to see what they're up to and guess what, Ian came up with an interesting subject and so I...okay lah...'borrow' their idea again...hee...
In almost his exact words, so tell me guys; what's your favourite lens that you own and why? Don't give more than one hor and okay lah...you may name a third-party lens as I'm sure at least one is gonna mention his Sigma 20mm is ultra, super-duper sharp! ![]() |

My favourite lens.........would be the 28-135 IS USM. Good range and very good performance for the money. I sold it to get the 28-70 which performed even better but lack the range covered by the 28-135. Any regrets? Well, somtimes..........

![]() this is the Canon equipment forum and hence anything that is not Canon is crappy....get it? yes? no? hmm.........judging from the serious way u reply, i think u missed the drift of my earlier reply and consequently lost the sense of humour that was intended with my post. Loosen up man....not everyone is out to get at u, even if u did mistakenly followed up a post in the wrong forum ![]() |

What's your favourite lens that you own? You can post so well in English, how about reading? |

).Why? It has USM. AF rips - it is blazing fast and silent. For the first time in my life I can actually USE autofocus at 1:1 distances, and very well at that. It doubles as a fantastic portrait lens and an all purpose street photography lens as well. All the movements are internal - no extending or rotating, so less dust sucked in. More importantly, it delivers superb corner to corner sharpness and contrast, no distortion, no vignetting and no flare even when there are bright lights in the scene. This was shot with the 100/2.8 USM and EOS-3 on Velvia. http://www.rsriram.ws/photo-albums/j...1/crop0032.jpg and so was this, on HP5+ http://www.rsriram.ws/photo-albums/j...5-crop0101.jpg Last edited by sriram; 27th March 2002 at 04:25 PM. |
