  1. #1

Default best resolution for 4R print?

i am using G3. plan to print some family photos on 4R. what's the best resolution for printing at this size? Or should I just send the fine jpeg size?

i am familiar with photoshop USM for web viewing. any recommended USM values for 4R print?

any recommended shop for doing digital print?

    thanks in advance.

From what i've read, high quality magazines print at 300dpi, while books and newspapers are in the range of 150-300dpi. i think sending in a 300 dpi resolution is sufficient for 4R.

4R is 6x4 inches, that would be a 1800x1200 pixel file. i don't think the shop will print higher than that, and if they do, the human eye wouldn't be able to see the diff.

If you do downsize, make sure your jpeg quality setting not too low. Will create funny looking effects in your picture.
