There is a quite a big commotion regarding the G2 having cracks, hairline or otherwise over at dpreview. I have yet to check for the cracks as I'm still at work. Many have complained that the G2 plastic cover cannot withstand the weight of the whole camera.

I've checked my G2 and there's no cracks so far.

but duuno why they worried.. go buy the casing from canon lar, its only $35 and free service if got warranty... if out of warranty also can change by urself, just a few screws. |

So if u got the champagne color, got option to change it to black later for around $100.. the buttom and dial remain silver but still looks nice |
