Sigma EG-500 flash and sony 42M flash

May i know Which one in terms of performances is better?

I have the newer sigma 530 super and sony f42am. Both functions fully with the a700, including the wireless. The sigma is more powerful, but recycles a bit slower than the f42am. The zoom head on the sigma also zooms slower than the f42am.

Seems like they're on par..with a little tradeoff on it's side.
What about the 530 super?

was talking about the 530 super. the 530 super flash recycles a tiny bit slower than 42am, and zoom head operates slower and noisier than the f42am. 530 super is more powerful and is a tiny bit lighter than the f42am. so see which one matters to you. both are value for money imo.
