Hi people. need some help.
I understand that Minolta Dimage cameras such as 7i, A2, A200 can only take Minolta flash unless I use a Minolta FS-1100 hotshoe adapter is it? Is it that the FS-1100 converts the 4-pin Minolta mount to a 1-centre pin ISO mount? Is that with a hotshoe adapter like this http://perlyinc.com/store/product_in...roducts_id=118 can allow me to use generic flashes with the universal 1 centre pin contact? My camera flash is spoilt so I'm looking to get a cheap external flash Last edited by taekimon; 26th May 2008 at 10:49 PM. |

The link you provided is incomplete. You need the FS-1100 or equivalent model. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...e_Adapter.html

Hi taekimon,
The FS1100 will be the one to look for if you want to adapt a Generic Flash for use on your K/M body. Try to look for the 4 pin variant, it will include a PC sync out port for studio usage, as well as a built-in protective circuit to protect camera body against unintended high voltage flashes. I think one should cost around 20 bucks from Orient Photo... the last time I passed by - they had seven of those in their display (a week ago)... but these things go quickly, me and my bros bought 4 at once on our last few visits... ![]()

Got another question, by using the fs1100 or a 3rd party adapter with a generic flash, will the rear sync flash, or adi flash still work?
Must I use dedicated flash for Minoltas in order for these flash functions to work? |
