Ok Mark Hughes is the new Man City manager. And he will be given 40-50m to spend. Think if all goes well for him, might see Man City break into CL spots.

Chelsea may start to decline ..... if the key players leave. It will take awhile to rebuild again. Of course, the other teams may flop or fare worse.

Man U can let Ronaldo go and still be stronger than the others in EPL.

Dun think any la....in the next season at least. I only say might as it is tough to break into top 4 and Man City is still some way off. They improve but so will the top 4.

Of the rest of the Top 4 most of them are under revamp as most of them will have many players leaving n depending on how their new players will gel in... think maybe 1 of them may slip most likely will be gunners?

It could be them if they lose more of their players but I dun see it happening. Hughes got a big job to take City to top 4. Top 6 more likely I think.

    Reds report Real to FIFA

On 27 May, Manchester United made clear its intention to report Real Madrid to FIFA if it continued to involve itself in the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Unfortunately, Real Madrid has not kept its own counsel and the Club feels it has no alternative but to make a formal complaint to the world governing body, which it has done today.

The precise content and nature will remain confidential.

    Papers: Real won't back down

Real Madrid to test United with £60m bid for Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United took the extraordinary step yesterday of reporting Real Madrid to Fifa, world football’s governing body, over their public pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo. Relations between two of the world’s biggest clubs seem certain to deteriorate further in the coming weeks. Real are preparing a world-record offer for the 23-year-old Portugal forward once his participation in the European Championship finals is over.
Sources in Madrid indicated last night that Real will offer United a fee in the region of £60 million for Ronaldo after Portugal are eliminated from the tournament, or, if they reach the final, after June 29.
    Oliver Kay, The Times

A number of papers claim Cardiff City teenage sensation Aaron Ramsey will today sign for Arsenal. United and Everton had also agreed terms with Cardiff, however it now looks like the 17-year-old will head to London.

The Manchester Evening News report Eric Cantona is keen to take up the managerial post at Old Trafford after Sir Alex retires. Cantona said: “With United, I’ll win many things. United is the biggest club in the world and will win things generation after generation.”

Meanwhile, The Sun claim Everton are planning to pip United and Arsenal to £16m-rated Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Moutinho.

    Ramsey snubs United

Cardiff City starlet Aaron Ramsey has decided to join Arsenal, snubbing offers from United and Everton.

The highly-rated 17-year-old midfielder met with all three clubs for talks after bids - believed to be around £5million - were accepted last week.

The Premier League and Champions League holders appeared to be in pole position to sign the talented young Welsh international, but Cardiff have since confirmed the teenager's future lies elsewhere.

"Cardiff City were informed on Friday morning that Aaron Ramsey’s preferred destination this summer is at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal,” Cardiff's website confirmed.

"We will now continue the dialogue with the Gunners with a view to Aaron’s move being completed.

"The move, unlike other options, however, does not include a loan-back period at Ninian Park for the 2008/09 season."

Louis plans to remain a Red

Despite speculation linking Louis Saha with an Old Trafford exit, his advisors claim the Frenchman remains focussed on United’s 2008/09 campaign.

The most recent press reports claim the 29-year-old could be used as a bargaining tool in an effort to bring Dimitar Berbatov, Karim Benzema or Roque Santa Cruz to United.

It’s news to Saha’s advisors, however, who told the Manchester Evening News their man will be reporting for pre-season training at Carrington, alongside his fellow United stars.

"There is nothing on the agenda until the club says otherwise,” one of Saha’s advisors said. “At the end of the season, the club told Louis to report back for pre-season training and he is now on holiday."

Saha is not involved in France’s Euro 2008 campaign.

    Papers: First summer signing
    13/06/2008 07:58

Petrucci signing angers Roma Manchester United last night came under fire after signing one of Italy's most promising young strikers. Just days after they were pipped by Arsenal to the signature of 17-year-old Cardiff midfielder Aaron Ramsey, United snapped up Davide Petrucci, 16, who scored 14 goals in 19 matches last season and was the top scorer in Roma's youth team. He has also starred for Italy's under-17 team. United will pay Petrucci £95,000 a year and will cover the cost of regular flights home to Italy. The deal is the maximum permissible offer for a youth-team player. Roma will receive around £200,000 in compensation but the move has caused fury. Petrucci, who comes from the San Basilio suburb of Rome, has been compared to a young Francesco Totti and could have made the first-team squad next year.
    Malcolm Moore, Daily Telegraph

All the daily newspapers run with the story ManUtd.com announced on Thursday that Patrice Evra has signed a new four-year contract.

The Daily Mirror believes Sir Alex Ferguson and Luiz Felipe Scolari to be "at war". Sir Alex, the paper claims, thinks there was a conflict of interests when the newly-announced Chelsea boss reportedly advised Cristiano Ronaldo to swap Manchester for Madrid.

The Sun says Portugal are after Carlos Queiroz as the next national team manager when Luiz Felipe Scolari leaves his post for Chelsea after the Euro 2008 championships.

And finally... Wayne Rooney and childhood sweetheart Coleen McLoughlin tied the knot on Thursday. Unfortunately for the Rooneys, the heavens opened on the big day on the Italian Riviera - a wedding which cost a reported £5million. Childish giggle of the day: the Daily Mail's headline "Bride spells with outbreaks of Wayne".

    Round up by Ben Hibbs
Anyone know anything about Davide Petrucci?
