i like to get some feedback on this photo. it is shot for this weekly friendly competition btw some colleagues.
the theme for this coming week is Curves. i took this rather cliched picture because it was the very first thing that came to my mind and nothing beats the sensual curves of a woman. ![]() the pic was shot at high iso because of the poor lighting and the background was removed during pp using curves. the skin was then smoothened with surface blur and noise was added to give it a film feel to it and to dull out the impact of nude pictures. i dunno is it just me or does everyone else feels this a rather cliched shot? |

Reason why it being cliched is because this is indeed a very sexy pose and pic. Allow me to share my thoughts at the very instant i saw this. What went thru my mind was, "oh my this is bueatiful, indeed a very pretty model. And such a pose would certainly do justice to her." and i definetly wanted more of this pic. and i just remembered why you might say such pics are clinched. Baby products! Those pampers ads are all using this pic. :P

I love the noise; it lends a quiet mood to the piece that would not be achieved otherwise. I think the pose is perfect and the blacked-out background really emphasises the subject. The fact that it is black and white further enhances the picture by defining the subtle shadows. Good job!

Woo.. I wondered whose's butt is that..
![]() I feel the surface is too smooth. Looks like porcelain. More skin texture might be nice but that's just me. There is alot more curves on a woman. Maybe do a triptych set of photos. Sure win. |

yeah. probably can't get grain like that. digital noise is still different from film grain.
i added so much noise so the impact from the nude model is lesser and it turns it more abstract. |

![]() i realise that contemporary nudes will be more realistic but i wanted to do something more abstract. so i went all out on this. not suppose to do montage and stuff for the contest. ![]() |
