    Default Lee Filters V/S Singh-Ray

I'm getting a Cokin system and am stuck between these two. Anyone use them and how can they compare?

Singh Ray definitely, there is no compromise.

I just bought a set of ND grads off their site, i must say with shipping and GST, be financially prepared.

Never tried any Lee filters before. But it is supposed to be optically good as well, and much cheaper

I think the standard size for Lee filter is 100mm ( 4x4 ) ( They make their own Lee filter holders.) But they do have 84mm versions. Just be sure not to get the wrong sizes. The Cokin Z pro holder however holds 100mm filters well.

OT abit, oohh which ones did you get? I've only got the 3stop R-gnd.

So far, i've tried the SR R-gnd, image certainly looks better than having no filters on. Thats my own opinion.

A word of advice, spend wisely. Be clear of what you really need.

Singh Ray is often regarded as one of the best. I suspect this is mostly from ground sentiments , no real comparisons side by side. But their strength lies in their other products such as the VariND and their other polarisers as well.

You can check out photo.net for a good read

Henessy you interested in doing MO for Singh Ray with better prices ?

Haha,it seems like I give people impression that I MO everything. However, my MOs are largely based on the stuff I like.

Currently still quite new to this brand. Need to find out more on whether I need 1 on it.
