I found this cat quite interesting in the sense that it is sleep in such positions in the middle of a footpath, as if it doesn't care about its safety and the stares of others

Uh, please read critique corner guidelines for posting. There is a one-photo-per-week limit, and you're required to do a short write-up on the photo and what aspect(s) you are seeking critique in.

As for my personal critique, since you've mentioned that the cat shows no concern for its own safety or stares of passerbys, perhaps you want to not shoot it from top down, but shoot near the ground, so as to give it a greater sense of environment.

For instance, you can go down to the cat's level and shoot it with the footpath as a background, maybe even with passerbys' feet in the background too.
