Im very new to night photography and this is actually my 1st attempt in it.
This pic was taken at iso400 which explains its noise. Think its alittle too high.

Hi there,

Why are you using ISO400? Is it on tripod mount?

Since you have a tripod, you can keep the ISO as low as possible (100 in your case), and keep the shutter open for a longer period of time. That you won't have noise in your photo. That's one of the purposes of using a tripod; keep that ISO value low.

Your photo does look a bit underexposed. Try a lower ISO with a longer shutter speed.

Thanks for the advice.

I will keep dat in mind.

As for the exposure, I think it might be due to the post processing to reduce the noise. Nevertheless, I will take note of that.

Thanks

I think you were using f4.5?
Try a smaller aperture # range (e.g.F8-F16@low ISO with tripod)
As for composition, the construction site in front is as crowded as the main subject.

Now that you mention, I too feel that the foreground is as busy as the background. looks kind of heavy.

Thanks for the advice. I will take note of that

Would probably attempt a 2nd try but at a different location.

Btw any ideas on where wld be a good spot?

Moving further down the bridge towards hotel for a better view. Choose an angle to avoid the construction site. You can try at Esplanade too.
