I bought one a few weeks ago at $78 (include GST). You are right, CP said no stock, AP said don't carry. I bought it from Song Brothers (not my favourite shop, but I had no choice under this situation). The release works fine, zoom, half-press to focus, on/off, no battery need, come with a small cool bag.

Yeah what i mean is that you can buy the remote control separately, no need to purchase the sony tripod
Its good for use on the tripod.

Asked CP and a couple of other shops at funan but no shops seem to be selling the remote control. Perhaps will make a trip to Sim Lim this weekend and check out.
