Default How many out focus pictures do you have?

Hi all, just curious. For every portrait shoot you all involved, how many out focus shots do you have?
As for me, every 100 shots taken about 6 - 8 are out focus. Is this happen only to me?
    What about those professional photographer?

Bro, there are many factors contributing out of focus shots.

Below are some I could think off
    1) Sudden movement of subject
    2) Wide aperature been used
    3) Subject moving at high speed
    4) Slow lens focusing
    5) Pre focusing location
    6) Back focusing
    etc

I do have out of focus shots, but trying to keep it at the minimum.

    Define out of focus.

If it's due to subject movement, camera shake, etc. it's not out of focus, it's blur. And that happens to pros and amateurs alike, depends on how still your subject is, how good your qigong is, etc.

A picture that is truly out of focus (rather than just blur) will still have something sharp and in focus-- just not what you wanted.

For my case, I'm using 50mm F1.4 for portrait shooting.
Due to the shallow depth of field, the model appeared a bit out of focus in some shots.
Didn't realise it when I view them in camera LCD, only noticed when download to PC.

As mentioned before .... opened wide aperature may risk of out of focus due to the shallow depth of field. There is also one thing to take note, the weather. At sunny weather the risk of out of focus will be higher due to wide opened f1.4. I know because I also shoot opened wide.
