Default which film scanner?

looking into the possibility of shooting film but would like to figure out the entire workflow and now looking at some film scanners.

so, which one is yours?

konica minolta scan multi II.. can scan 35mm and medium format up to 6x9 and APS

its a very capable entry into scanning film.. if you're interested I am thinking of upgrading.. can pm me for more information.

Canoscan 8800F

Scans 35mm & 120 film.

Plus point about this scanner is that it's easy to operate & use + it's very affordable.

Negative point is that it doesn't scan 4x5 or any larger and can only scan 12 frames at one go.

As for image quality, my take is scan at the highest resolution and do photoshop from there to get the desired result. So, for me any scanner is a good scanner.

i was thinking of buying that scanner as well. any idea where can i get the best deal for it? courts is selling like 300 for it. caught my eye cos it can do MF.

i got the Canoscan 8800F at Global IT Mart @ Sim Lim Square for just under 300... cash or nets payment.

i've been reading some reviews and seems like the epson scanners are better than canon's

i just got my hands on a very old but underutilized epson 3200. It's quite good actually, surprised by the results.

The only problem i'm facing is that the epson software clips off portions of the photographs making it more "panoramic" than it actually is. Anyone has any clues?
