My G1 died

Hi all,

got introduced to this site from another forum.

Tried doing a seach on the above subject, but couldn't find anything on this. My G1 was working fine on Sun afternoon. In the night, when I tried to turn it on, there was no response at all. Turn the dial to shoot or play also the same thing. No display message whatsoever. Even plugging in the power supply also no response.

I read that there are quite a number of G1 users got this problem in dpreview. Just want to check whether this problem is widespread in Spore.

My suspicion was right. The fuse was broken.

Fuse replacement - $5
Service charge - $60

Doesn't it always happen that way....spoil when the warranty expires....

Anyway, thanks MadcatII, I don't think I am proficient enough to DIY the fuse myself...

at least the service charge is cheaper than nikon's $90 for some of the digital cameras
