They are very similar in holding charge. Both are classified as hybrid NiMH rechargable batteries. If you are brand conscious, go for Eneloop. If you are budget conscious then choose Recyko.

Eneloop is made in japan, whereas Recyko is made in china.

The only difference is that Sanyo is a Japanese company and GP is a Hong Kong company listed in Singapore stock exchange. Both have manufacturing facilities in China (same as so many other MNCs).

Sorry, sketchy info here as I try to draw on old grey matter here
![]() Think I saw the voltage/current profile while looking at battery info on the web ( "something... candle " forums... sorry can't remember). From the graphs there, when in use at a fixed load, eneloop had slightly better sustained voltage levels. This may/not be significant in real world terms, FWIW Anyway, I got GP Recyklo as they were on sale at Guardian at $7+ for 4 two month's back, and I can't argue with that price. Charge retention is certainly better than standard NiMH. I'd suggest getting a set of both and be the judge yourself. That's what I plan to do |
