Default filtrate?

hi all,

i've always wonder what and how filters play a role in a picture...
i know it changes colour, adds contrast, reduce light rays, protect the lens' glass...

i'm very certain there are other uses for it... care to share?

thank you and regards

depends on the filter what..?

i think you should read up more on the subject.. there are so many filters out there available, and each one of them has a different role and use.

After you have an idea of how some of the more commonly used filters works, i find this to be a good read
