Default Advice: Any film scanner that can batch scan?

just thinking out loud, as i'm toying with the idea of digitising my darkroom workflow...

are there any dedicated film scanners which can batch scan entire rolls of film (neg or slides)? i know most film scanners require the film (mounted or otherwise) to be mounted on the scanner's trays for scanning...

so say i have a entire roll of developed, uncut film (35mm), meaning in one long strip. i wanna slot it into the scanning machine and have it automatically scan in each frame instead of me having to manually load the film by frames or those short strips that the labs cut them into (yes yes i'm lazy). i'm visualising something where you feed in one end and the machine spits out the other end frame by frame after scanning.

is there such a scanner or accessory which allows that? not those professional-grade Frontier machiens of course, but something useable at home...

appreciate any insights or advice here...

Coolscan 4000ED can attach a roll film adaptor, so it will let you scan the whole roll at once. There's also a multi-slide adaptor which will feed the slides one by one (like a projector).

But why not just get a Frontier 350? It's only like, what, $250k?

Not sure how much the accessories cost, or whether they are even available in Singapore. Doesn't sound cheap.

Well, put it this way, after you bought the Frontier, you can earn it back by offering scanning/printing services to CSers.

I thought the Kodak RFS3600 can do it as well? Speaking of which, weren't you organising a MO for it some time back Larry?

How 'bout organising another M.O. for a Film Scanner. Actually you should look at this scanner - Digital ICE, 3600x3600Dpi, Firewire&USB2.0 etc

It should be the SA-30 Roll Film Adaptor for the CoolScan 4000. Retail Price is $850, but I think should be able to get for ard $600+
