Hey guys, I got myself a 2nd hand Canon 420EX and after some event shots, i find that the recycle time for the flash is quite slow for my usage.
Changing to Sony rechargables did help improve, but I'm looking for something faster. The 2 options i have now is the 430EX / 580EX II. Will the recycle time from the 430Ex compared with my current 420EX improve alot? As I currently am not on a budget for a 580EX. But if the difference between the 420EX and 430EX in recycle time is quite insignificant, then I guess I'll just have to wait and save. Also, if i were to get another type of rechargables, will that improve the time? guess not yea? Thanks in advance. ![]() |

From the previews I've read, I guess there should be a significant improve on the recycle time for 430EX and 580EX. Until I need that extra power, am still using the 430EX with a Sanyo 2700 rechargable and am pretty satisfied with the recycle time. With full power 1/1, on freshly charged batt, it takes less than a second. For lower power, absolutely no problem during multi burst. Gosh my review suck but perhaps this one may be able to give you a better picture http://www.the-digital-picture.com/R...sh-Review.aspx
Good luck. |
