Hi all, would like to check with 450D users that when u shoot in auto mode, if one or a few of the 9 AF points is in a dark spot does your flash pop up? Even under the sun, if my friend is wearing a black/dark colour shirt, and the 1 or 2 AF points are on the dark colour, the flash fires...

are you shooting in auto mode? I believe thats a feature of the camera.... when the camera recognises that you're trying to shoot a face with a bright background, the flash will popup to act as fill flash....

That should be normal - it's the camera's way to make sure the subject won't be hidden in the shadows.

yep it pops up all the time on auto mode.
