Like the 2nd photo better.... coz Ur subject is in the center of the picture.....
Since Ur background is blurred.... so it will not contribute to Ur subject.... thus should let the snail be the main focus and not take up such a larger percentage of the picture..... |

1st shot. It has more "meaning" to it as it shows the trail left by the snail.

Both has it's aesthetic values but if I have to choose, it's the 1st one.
The use of negative space is very apparent and it tells a lot about this snail that has 'journeyed' across the frame. The only nit is that for both pics, the snail was metered off so it appeared under compared to the setting dusk/rising dawn. Nice angle - really low. as for the 2nd one, it's more of the shoot-and-go kind of thing. It will make a difference if you try to take a closer shot (very much closer) or you frame the snail @ the left corner. Very nice indeed Cherlyn, keep shooting!!
