E-Academy. Need yr advise please.

Hi, I've a E-500 bought over a year ago but didn't get a chance to attend the free E-academy "knowledge" session due to time constraints or that it was 'full'.

now I want to attend the 'E-xperience Night' but can't register coz I didn't attend the "knowledge" session. Appreciate it if you could advise what I can do please. thanks!

Really? That is funny... because the E-xperience night is not a free class. It is paid although sponsorred heavily.
Is that because another issue? Like missing warranty card? Have you call Olympus Customer Service, or drop by their shop.

have the warranty card, dun mind paying (its very cheap) but when I access the E-Academy site (singapore) I don't see the reg boxes. small print at below says I have to attend the basic 1st (but its now for the E-510). sent the service folks email abt a week ago; no reply. not called them.. will do that.

Is not about free or pay class. Olympus needed you to attend the basic knowledge class to learn how to operate camera settings before letting you proceeding to other classes. You wont be able to skip that basic for this case.

I think it is not olympus. It it the instructor.
but to tell you the truth, the camera basic class can be very useful as you learn lots of new stuff about the camera, unfortunately for you it is er.. E-500 probably they dont conduct anymore, as now it is E-510.

No point email them I email them so many times and it takes so long and they finally reply to 1 of my email....think still got 2 or 3 pending

thanks for all the advise folks. its been sorted. Spoke to 2 VERY nice ladies ( if I remember right, Evon & Sue). they helped me out fast. thanks for the advise to call them,,, duh.... should have thought of that sooner... feel so dumb!

am on waitlist for the intro class & booked for the night class... best to read up the manual again if I get to the night class before the intro...

closing the thread liao...
