IMO, GFLS just wastes my flashgun's power. Look at all that light going everywhere but my subject. Not for me unless I do close up portraits and then I'll just use a substitute.

most say its really good. i use a sto-fen bouncer though since its cheaper and more compact. cloud reduces the power alot, you could use clear.

I would say its good for portraits. Especially for the cloud model.

You won't want to use it to cover events and such... simply waste too much power.

Using the "betterbouncecard" or even a normal bounce card helps saves alot of power when u use TTL-Auto.

Thats my experience with it. But it really give a nice "3d" shot to the portraits.
