PhotoAid 2 for Victims of Cyclone Nargis - Call for Volunteers

INFORMATION FOR VOLUNTEERS

Dates

17th, 18th May
24th, 25th May
31st May, 1st Jun

Volunteers needed

1. Shooting Station

Pose and photograph tourist at shooting station.

2. Printing Station

Collect files (may be via wireless transfer) print and insert photographs into transparent holders.

Collect donations from donors and put donations into donation boxes or witness donors putting donations into donation boxes.

3. Public Relations

Approach visitors and tourists (or tour guides) and explain purpose of activity. Participant must maintain courteous at all times. No taunting.

Shifts available

A. 7am to 2pm (lunch included)
B. 2pm to 9pm (dinner included)

All Shift A participants will need to help with setting up.

All Shift B participants will need to help with taking down.

A briefing will be given to all participants before they start the work. They will be guided by core group members should they be unfamiliar with the equipment and/or should difficulties arise.

Not really.

Depending on which station you are.

Please bring own suntan lotion if you need.

Also, probably a pair of nice shades and hat. Own water bottle just in case we ran out of drinking water.

Other misc stuff to bring thats most likely gonna make it a better event.

Bring a friend
Bring some money
then take pics and put the money in the donation box.

Things to take note for volunteers

1. sun protection! (cap, sunblock, and 1 water bottle, though drinks will be provided)

2. be at the venue 10 min before the start of your shift so that we can brief you on the tasks

3. bring your smile

Sports wear is best. Cos you will not be in an aircon environment.

Something cool and comfortable under the sun would be best.

But try to wear something with sleeves and something not as short as a pair of running shorts.

Try to be in a white Tshirt/polo T shirt/ Singlet...so that volunteers can be easily recongnized.

Hehe...last time round most of the guys in white polo and khaki pants...machiam like uniform.

Please come in white Tee shirt. Easier to recongnize. Too many multi colour wait become like rojak, not very nice an image to project to the public
