Default "Swan Lake"

Sharing two photos taken quite some times ago.
Taken with Nikon D70s and Hoya R72 filter.

the second is really beautiful. however, i think due to the nature of the scene and tricky exposure, the sky is blown out. i also thought the buildings in the distance did not really add to the picture. a pano style crop worked here, i thought, along with dumping of the blue tones since they looked rather subdued to me.

this is what i saw

but then again, i'm getting too addicted to pano style cropping, so maybe it's a phase. please let me know if you want me to remove the picture. cheers and thanks for sharing such a beautiful shot. the swan really makes it.

Thanks night86mare for the crop version.
It does bring the attention back to the pond and the swan.

Few reasons that I didn't crop away the distant building :
Firstly the existence of the lamp post make the cropping difficult.
Then I thought the tree branches on top does add some mood to the frame.
Thirdly I want to give some head room to the frame.
But I like your sepia treatment of the picture, very nice.
