Did you make use of filters to achieve the color effects?

I think USR means Upper Seletar Reservoir ... now where exactly in USR, he will have to show us in the map.
On the pictures color, I feel somehow it is a bit saturated. Probably some filter (CP or ND) has been used.

Thanks for the comments.
![]() It's along the upper seletar reservoir. Pic below: ![]() The saturation is post processed. (of course, the pics were taken with that in mind). ![]() For EXIF info, please visit my flickr: click here Cheers and happy shooting!! . |

a wee bit overdone for me. and yes, the last shot is nice - i'm thinking a lower perspective would have "separated" the tree further and strengthened it more - and perhaps if possible, extend the exposure for a smoothened reflection.
in fact, i think i would prefer a landscape format for that one. i thought while there was attention paid to composition here, a little bit more to work out the finer points would be great. thanks for sharing. ![]() |

![]() Thanks for the thoughts and comment. The tree is indeed THE star of the show, with the red glow of the sky and water the backdrop. A pity really that the tree is not talller, and i don't have a longer lens with me to isolate it. Let me share the landscape one: ![]() I think the dark mass is just a little too over powering. (and hence the choice of the portrait version). Alternative subject is the buoy. Is it a better choice? ![]() When i have time, i'll see if the "radioactive" version works. Cheers! . |

Agreed, i cant appreciate the over saturation of your pictures, it looks like it is bleeding red. less is always more and same concept is also applied to vignetting.
I like, however, the creatively formed clouds in the first picture. Nice exposure |
