Default Case for Leica M3

Just got my first Leica.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a case (half or full)? Or really easier to buy online from overseas or ebay? Notice that Luigi's case seems to be the best out in the market.

Any cheaper options around?

Try Mr Zhou! He's in Ebay.

He makes leather cases for Leica giving the pioneer, Mr Luigi a run for his money.

Actually I have one new one for buddha lugs M3 from Leicatime. It's black leather. I bought it for my MP-3. Then I realised that old man Luigi didn't cut a hole at the back for the ISO dial. (not very professional IMHO as I told him it was meant to be for MP-3 many times).

But as with all Leicatime stuff, I cannot sell you cheap. You get instant case and don't have to wait for delivery. Haha. Want?

Should be cheaper than Leicatime. But you should search Ebay for second hand ones or the real Leica ones.

I use the Voigtlander case for Bessa fits the M6, MP and M3 with a small lens. You can use only the bottom half only of as a full case. And it's CHEAP.

I tried the Bessa case at Chiff place. can't fit....think becoz of the buddha ear of the early batches of M3.

Dear Sir, many COPIES of my cases are surfacing around ! As copies of Rolex watches, cigarettes, and a lot more !
Such ocean of copiers and copiers that are INVADING all western countries are usually of a POOR quality, often
even dangerous (read: poisonous), probably made by children, or other sort of slaves, and are a PEST for the world !

But, luckely, I am still terribly busy. Please, what means "a run for his money" ? Sincerily, I don't understand.

To CooperS: if you CLEARLY REQUESTED the rear cutout, and I didn't made it, please email me directly,
and I will fix the problem FOR SURE, withall my deepest apologies ! Id you didn't, I repeat that I make
the rear dial cutouts ONLY upon a clear, special buyer's request, because my preference is NO cutout.
To inform me that the case is intended for use "with M3", "with M4", "with M6", "with M7", "with MP",
or even "with MP3", does not mean "make for the the rear cutout !

Please, contact me, I will do my best for soling this your disappointment. Regards, Luigi

So benny,

Did you specify for the cut out during ordering? Looks like Luigi said that he would ONLY if you asked for it.

Cheers,

Dear Luigi,

It's Zhou from Shanghai, China. I am making cases for rangefinder cameras. First, the people who making cases for me are professionals not like what you said "sort of slaves". I respect any hard working people include you. However, in this thread, you are trying to make humiliations these people without any proof. Do you really know China nowadays? Have you been to Shanghai see the place yourself?

Second, in terms of "copies" and "copiers", I think buyers can see the differences between your cases and my cases.

Last I want to say is business is business. You look after your business well. But calumniate your rivals won't win the battle. Keep yourself busy on improving your cases will help you leading the game. I will also do the same to my cases.

Regards,
-Zhou

A very very warm welcome to Mr Zhou & Mr Luigi to Singapore Clubsnap!

From the tone of things, I guess, there have been misunderstandings and some misconceptions about certain things.

I suggest we all put down our perception of one another or what we know of one another from the internet world and sit down for a cup of cuppa or a pint of beer.

Shall I suggest that we meet at the Photokina 2008 and chill out? First round of beer on me.
