Thinking of bringing my E510 (vs my larger Canon and Nikon). I've three 4/3 lenses: 50mm macro, 14-54mm and 50-200mm SWD. Which 2 shall I bring?

should consider only 14-54 n 50mm... i used less than 5% of 40-150 when i was in US (VA) last year for 3 weeks...most of the times am using 14-45 n 35mm then...

Unless u catch a French League Game but would that happen? haha.. Well, travel light is better but if u are driving maybe different as u can leave those heavier lenses in the car.

Forget about Euro Disney, go to Park Asterix instead. Better attraction, less people, more entertaining, more shade, less queues and so on.
Euro Disney is overrated, over populated, underdesigned and too expensive and overadvertized, so I understand if you wote for that instead. Anyway, count on spending at least 50% of your time in queues for attractions, food and toilet. As for lenses, nothing more can be added. 14-54 and 50-200 is my vote, but you have to ask yourself if you really need the 50-200.

Going to Europe in summer, bringing 11-22 and 50 and leaving 14-54 and 50-200. Reasoning is that I'll be in cities mainly and probably less use for long focal lengths and more need for wider angles in narrow streets etc. Also trying to keep weight down as will be doing lots of walking. But as usual, will surely have one or two occasions when regret not bringing longer tele
![]() But if OP is going out into country, and since driving around, may be worthwhile bringing 14-54 and 50-200 for full reach. Tried 12-60 but somehow preferred 11-22 and 50 combination. My personal preference is for primes if possible - despite hassle of having to change lenses. Wish Olympus had more especially in wide angles. |
