determine what is your hourly rate for shoot and DI. work out how many hours you have to spend on this project besides the 3hrs shooting at the event.

not trying to be difficult or anything but market rate now, it can be anything from FOC to $200. in short, it depends how you value yourself and your work.

don't forget how you price yourself today will set the yardstick for future jobs. don't expect to do the first job very cheap and try to increase your rate from the second job. they will probably find someone else. it's a vicious cycle.

thanks. just stated what's the sentiment in the market at the moment.

truth is everyone wants cheap. even when we want to buy things, we want it cheap.

for example, if you want a nikon 17-50 be prepared to pay and not expect to get it for tamron 17-50 price.

not necessary...depends on the "rapport" between the client and photographer also.
