Default leisure reading

i was with Mezzotint when he spotted this old lady have a leisure reading inside Pastamania.

i did a a square crop here (well, almost square). the original composition includes more of the white top ceiling and the light color ceramic floor tiles. i also give it some vignet and dodge the old lady. does this composition and pp work for you?

also, i thought of de-saturate the rest of the photo except the lady and the Pastamania sign but decided not to. thought it might feels cliché. whats your view?

I think the vignetting a bit over, the old lady seems to almost blend into the background too...

Perhaps a tighter zoom would be better, imho, seems to have still a bit too much space.

I prefer a tighter crop too....a 3:2 vertical crop with the old lady the the signboard in view, this will make the old lady more visible. Just personal preference.

yeah, i think a tighter crop will bring the subject out. At the moment, i find especially the left quite distracting.

Yah, I would like to see only that glass pane she was in.

My eye went to the Pastamania sign first, and only to the old lady later on.

I agree that a tighter crop would work better. Too many elements around her that might take the attention away.

i suggest you use some polarizing filter when you take the pic to remove the reflection on the glass pane. I wordings on Jewellery from the reflection seem to overlap the pastamania logo. You may also want to crop the two ladies outside the store; they just distract the picture. Just my two cents worth, hehe.
