May Kopi Session and Outing "The Night Shoot"

Date : 16th May 2008 (weekend and weekday at the same time)

Time to gather : 7:30pm

Place to gather : Raffles Place MRT

What is happening :

•*Meet first before setting off on foot.
• Those driving, park and walk.
• Quick bite for those who rush down after work.
•*We are not going to be ambitious, start with night shoot of CBD to make sure everyone has the fundamentals of nightshooting with your system. Those who are not on Olympus, please make sure you bring along your manual. In case we also get stuck with some of the functions... LOL. We are not all-knowing you know?
•*I have one tripod with me, those without can borrow it.
• Actual shoot starts when sun disappears. Those who wants to shoot sunset, well, do it another time please. We are doing night-street shooting basically.
• Wear comfy walking shoes. Any female turning up in heels, I will make sure you go barefoot! Or go buy one pair of ugly slippers for you...
•*Walk would be about 2-3 hours. Just to build up stamina for non-street shooters.

Those who cannot make it Friday and want weekend shoot, we will organise another during the weekend at the end of the month. OK?

Just to share with you guys my recent night shot organized by "Olympus E-xperience Workshop"
I'm only a novice attempting a HDR capture here.........not sure if the method is correct .......(Expert please advise.....).
It is one of the techniques mentioned by the instructor during the workshop.

Thanks ttiongch! To be honest I'm not too sure if those things in the sky are actually "Stars" or "Hot Pixels" .........hehe..... But then again I don't wish to stir up the hornet's net regarding the issue.

Don't look "H" to me... the subject at the bottom right, there should have details, even if it is black in color.

How many frames you take, to produced this?

I took 4 frames all in jpeg file. I've examined all the frames, those pillars in the bottom right were all black in color and didn't show any detail in them either. So maybe the time duration taken between them were not wide apart enough to show the true dynamic range. OR my method and treatment during PP were not correct.
