    Default welcoming 50mm 1.4 onboard

    contemplating to get this until today, so in the midst of mugging for exam, took a break, took out camera and started shooting this new family member

    Wohoo~ Congrats to your new toy~

    Heehee, did a "Family Portrait" for my 35mm prime as well last time. But can only see the 35mm. wahaha.

    what's your personal review of the 35f2? tried the sigma 301.4 to compare b4?

    fwah, you mean you only had the 85mm before this?

    never really had a good look at your lenses

    if you have two bodies, take a picture with the lens on a body. i find that camera porn is nicer when there is actually a camera body

    Hmm, compared to the 50mm f1.8, i feel the colours are not as good leh. But then, the angle of view is good and it is a lot wider lor. Can do a close up as well. 1:2 magnification lor.

    Hmm, didn't try the sigma 30 f1.4 leh. But seems like Cheesecake highly recommend this lens leh.

    i once had the 50 1.8 but sold it after getting the 85..nv saw 50mm prime again till today..lol..
    i'll try to see if got the time to take again w the 50mm mounted..same lighting setup you'll recommend?

    where do you stay? perhaps we can meet up and try. i've got the 30 1.4 but nv got the chance to feel 35 f2 and compare.

    looks alright to me.. but not sure if you really want your bg to be magentaish

    tts the result of the blue and orange blending in haha.. perhaps try a different approach, then again might not even shoot it lol..i'm exam bored..

    but as long as its in the west its convenient already..i think i got to learn from your street abstracts. last paper ends on friday

    somehow because of the different color of light reflecting on both lenses, sorta like 50mm versus 85mm but still! envy you! have fun with your new lens

    heh no need paiseh. i havent shoot macro for very long..seems like a suddern urge then will shoot before that spark dies off quickly..needs to relight again..haha
