Default Re: Sanyo 2100 and Sanyo Original charger...

i was at Carrefour yesterday and today and saw the package also. really good value but unfortunately, the charger is the NC-MQR01 model which is an overnight timer based charger with cable.

had a chat with the supplier and found that Sanyo is trying to break into the market so they repackaged the overnight charger with 4 x 2100mAh AA.

i understand that Sanyo had a promotion going on at HMV also.

For those interested in Sanyo chargers, the model to look for is NC-MQR02, this is the smart model that will charge 4 x 2100mah batts in 230mins.. not very fast but not too slow..

Default MQR01 vs RipVan100 OEM

Can anyone tell me how the features of the Sanyo charger compares generally with the RipVan100 OEM from East Gear?

Thanks in advance,

Can the Sanyo 2100 batts be used with other chargers?

I have one that charges my GP 1800 batts.
It's a MW 4798, a 2-in-1 Ni-Cd/Ni-MH Intelligent Charger & Switching DC/DC Converter
The specs say:
input 12V-24V
output 2.8V
800mA 2.24VA

Thanks.

Default correction

allow me to correct myself.

the charger at carrefour is not the NC-MQR01 model neither is it the NC-MQR02 model. both the R01 and R02 are smart chargers with the R02 having a newer Ver.2 micro computer.

the model on promotion could be the NC-MQN01.

value for money still.....

The charger is not the "Quick Charge" charger, don't be mistaken. It needs to charge for 8hrs for the sanyo 2100mah compare to the "Sanyo Ouick Charge" only took about 3-4hrs.
