Get a Sigma SD14. It can be used both as a normal colour DSLR and an IR-modded DSLR. No need to permanently mod a camera for shooting IR.

How long does it take to mod the camera into IR and how much does it cost (ballpark figure)?

i will most probably be in Singapore in July and considering converting my canon camera into a dedicated IR.
